Blue Poles
inspired by Jackson Pollock’s painting of the same name
They are not Blue Poles
They are people, strung up
Like medieval torture
Their heads turned to skulls
Drip, drip, drip
Blood or paint?
You kill them, desecrate them
Like a punch to the face
Groaning, huddled over
Can’t stand straight
Vomit spews forth – blah blah blah
Mouths open like screams
Do you hear it? Hidden?
Follow the path
Follow the line
Tangled webs of fate
Chaos to order
All planned out
It looks random, but you meant it.
